BIOGRAPHY

The renowned Buddhist author Supawan Green (1954) is a Thai/Chinese woman whom was raised in Bangkok.

During her student years she became interested in meditation.

She graduated from the Bangkok University with an honors degree in Sociology at 22. To further her spiritual development Supawan spent three months as an ordained nun at a Monastery in the north of Thailand. Continuing on this path she lived alone in a cave for three months to deepen her spiritual connection and to get in touch with her true inner self.

Supawan worked for two years at the Bangkok General Hospital teaching the patients meditation to help them cope and ease the pain of their illnesses.

Supawan continued her humanitarian work with the Vietnamese Boat people and the Mong refugees.

While working with unaccompanied minors in a Cambodian refugee camp Supawan met her english Husband.

Despite the challenges of living in a new country and her commitment to her three children Supawan continued her spiritual journey through writing and teaching Tai Chi and Meditation at Birmingham University in England.

Since then Supawan has published over 20 books in Thai and English.

She is renown for her no nonsense simplistic style,

easy concepts, clear illustrations and helpful metaphors to make the Buddhists jargon more accessible and comprehendible for the modern person.

Supawan does not charge for her teachings.

There is an organizational fee of 20€ to help cover travel expenses.

So why not take this wonderful opportunity to join our workshop and meet Supawan!
